The massive use of fossil fuels such as coal, oil, and natural gas releases large quantities of climate-altering gases into the atmosphere, including <strong>carbon dioxide<\/strong> (CO\u2082) and <strong>methane<\/strong> (CH\u2084).<\/p><p>CO\u2082 is the main contributor to the increase in the greenhouse effect, a phenomenon that traps the sun&#8217;s heat and contributes to global warming. The Paris Agreement, signed in 2015, is one of the most important. This agreement aims to limit the increase in global temperature to less than 2\u00b0C above pre-industrial levels, with the goal of keeping it below 1.5\u00b0C. To achieve this goal, many countries have committed to reducing their greenhouse gas emissions and investing in renewable energy sources, such as geothermal
