The hot water transitions to <strong>steam<\/strong> and periodically rises to the surface, where it is expelled rather explosively. The water is typically erupted at regular intervals with powerful jets. The duration of these jets can vary from a few seconds to several minutes and can reach heights of up to <strong>60 meters<\/strong>. <br>These are rare events worldwide but can be found in <strong>Iceland<\/strong>, in <strong>Yellowstone National Park<\/strong> (United States), in <strong>New Zealand<\/strong>, and in <strong>Chile<\/strong>.
