The rising gas is generally composed mostly of carbon dioxide (CO<g id=\"gid_1\">2<\/g>). These are natural manifestations of secondary volcanism typical of hydrothermal and peripheral volcanic areas, and can be cold but also reach temperatures close to 100\u00b0C.
